ProjectMasters - Toastmasters
Meeting Synopsis: Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization founded in 1924, which has grown to over 357,000 members in 16,600 clubs in 143 countries. In 2006, the Phoenix Chapter of PMI sponsored the chartering of ProjectMasters Toastmasters Club, an “open” club where both PMI members and the general public are welcome.
The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop oral communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
You are encouraged to attend a meeting, and see what we’re all about!
Speaker(s): Up to three club members present prepared speeches at each meeting, which are evaluated by fellow members mentioning their strengths and making at least one suggestion for improvement. There is also a segment in which members and guests are invited to practice extemporaneous speaking by answering questions asked by the Table Topics Master.
Fees: International dues are $7.50 per month, and club dues are $1.50 per month, collected twice annually, prorated. There is a one-time New Member fee of $20.00, which registers the new member with Toastmasters International and provides the first ""Path"" in the Pathways program.
PDUs (Professional Development Units): Club members may claim 1.5 PDUs per meeting. Guests may claim one meeting’s PDUs.
Registration: No registration required; just attend!
Cancellation Policy: N/A
Notice: Guests are welcome to attend as many times as they want to before joining. However, PDUs may only be claimed for one meeting at which one is a guest. After that, one must become a member to claim PDUs.

Conference Bridge Information:
PMI Phoenix Chapter events use a WebEx Conference bridge that requires that you register with WebEx. There is a registration link in the event confirmation that you can click on and put your information and WebEx will send you a meeting invite with the bridge information.
IIBA Events are conducted via Zoom and for PMI Phoenix Chapter members attending those events you will receive conference bridge information directly from IIBA.

PMI PDU Reporting:
PMI Phoenix Chapter Members will have their PDU's reported automatically for PMI Phoenix Chapter hosted events with the exception of breakfast meetings, partner events or noted otherwise. All others will need to self-report.
Anyone who is not a PMI Phoenix Chapter member will need to register as a non-chapter member and self-report.
