Biography
Aaron Jang, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Arizona State University and brings over 22 years of experience in IT program and project management. He currently serves as Program Director at Banner Health, where he leads enterprise ERP initiatives including a $25 million Workday transformation and manages a team of over 400 professionals. His expertise spans infrastructure, cybersecurity, software integration, and strategic planning, with a consistent record of delivering projects on time and driving measurable efficiency gains.
Over the past seven years with PMI Phoenix, Aaron has contributed to the growth of the professional development team from three to over forty volunteers. He helped launch impactful programs such as the DEI initiative and PM Tools Academy, and expanded certification offerings by integrating CAPM and PMI-ACP tracks into the PMP Study Group. His focus on inclusive, high-impact learning has helped increase chapter membership and engagement. As PMI Phoenix transitions to PMI Arizona, Aaron is committed to scaling professional development offerings across the state, supporting regional branches, and helping members grow their careers through mentorship, certification, and leadership development.

Why are you running?
I’m running for re-election as Board Director of Professional Development to continue expanding the value we bring to PMI Arizona members. Over the past year, I’ve helped grow our chapter’s offerings by launching the DEI Program and PM Tools Academy, and by broadening our certification tracks to include CAPM and PMI-ACP alongside the PMP Study Group. My goal is to keep building inclusive, relevant programs that support career growth and strengthen our project management community. I’m committed to developing teams, mentoring future leaders, and ensuring our chapter remains a hub for professional excellence.


What specific personal talents, skills, or experience will you bring to the PMI Arizona Chapter?
With my professional and volunteering experience I bring strategic program leadership, team building, volunteer engagement, curriculum development, and mentorship to the PMI Arizona Chapter.


How do you envision the new AZ Chapter fostering inclusivity and delivering meaningful value to all members?
