Current PMI Chapter Volunteer Position Held (if any):
Finance Project Manager

Why are you running?
Ethical finance is critical to ensuring communities have fair access to opportunity. It should be predictable, transparent, and built to support people. In my 15 years in banking and treasury management, I’ve lived this principle by building relationships with clients and providing a financial experience that supports their unique goals.
I’ve brought the same mindset to PMI. On the PMI PHX Finance team, I’ve restructured reporting policies, improved asset and transaction tracking, and worked with accounting partners. I’ve overseen investments, tracked interest earned, and documented all activity for long-term accountability.
I’m running for Treasurer because PMI Arizona’s first year needs to set the foundation for years to come. I want leadership to have a clear financial picture, flexibility to act quickly, and a process regional leaders can trust. This role also aligns with my goal of becoming a CPA in 2026 and continuing a career in public service financial stewardship.

What specific personal talents, skills, or experience will you bring to the PMI Arizona Chapter?
I bring over 15 years in banking, treasury management, and project leadership, with deep expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and scalable process design. My experience includes managing large monthly volumes of treasury projects for commercial banks, leading policy overhauls during the BOTW–BMO merger, and delivering integration projects that translate directly to PMI Arizona’s post-merger needs. I’ve worked extensively with SWIFT, ACH, and money movement at local, regional, national, and global scales, including cross-border coordination. As a Finance Project Manager for PMI Phoenix, I developed various operational budgets, standardized QuickBooks operations, and partnered with accounting firms on reconciliations and tax preparation, and filing. I’m known for building trust through empathetic leadership, embracing agile, empowering teams to innovate, and creating environments where people can achieve their goals. My certifications include CAPM, CSPO, and CSM, with CTP, PMP, and CPA credentials in progress. I aim to combine my financial expertise with my passion for project management to strengthen PMI Arizona’s financial foundation and member value.

How do you envision the new AZ Chapter fostering inclusivity and delivering meaningful value to all members?
I envision PMI Arizona as a statewide organization where Southern, Central, and Northern regions each have the resources, autonomy, and representation needed to thrive. Regional empowerment is key—each area has unique challenges and opportunities, and my role will be to ensure funding and processes support those local priorities.
I believe inclusivity begins with listening. I support regular outreach to identify what’s working in each region and where support is needed. By building stronger ties with the business community, we can expand sponsorships and create more pathways for members to apply their skills in meaningful, real-world projects.
From a Treasurer’s perspective, I’ll focus on fair, strategic resource allocation, maintaining strong reserves, and investing in low-risk revenue streams like CDs to generate reliable income. My goal is for at least half of our cash to remain in reserve, with the rest used to power events, training, and programs across all regions.
Open communication will be my standard, and regional treasury leads should always feel empowered to make funding decisions. By pairing financial stewardship with community engagement, PMI Arizona can foster belonging, deliver value, and set an example for other chapters nationwide.
