International Women's Day-Accelerate Action for gender equality

The event, themed “Accelerate Action for Gender Equality,” will feature insightful discussion on advancing gender equality in project management and beyond.
Event Objective:
This event aims to explore actionable strategies for advancing gender equality in project management, addressing barriers that limit women’s leadership opportunities. Through expert discussions, we will examine how organizations can mitigate gender biases, implement equitable policies, and foster inclusive leadership development. Attendees will gain insights into essential skills, mentorship opportunities, and career growth strategies that empower women in project management. Additionally, we will discuss the impact of emerging trends like AI, automation, and remote work on gender equity, emphasizing the role of professional networks and organizations in driving meaningful change.
Speakers:
Allison Gordon
Allison is a technology leader heading Partner Sales for Security and Observability ISVs at AWS. With 20+ years in business strategy, sales, and leadership, she previously led enterprise sales teams at Intel. Her career blends technology, business impact, and social responsibility, shaped by her early work in microfinance as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bolivia. A certified executive coach, she specializes in leadership development and talent acceleration. Based in Arizona, she enjoys global travel and outdoor activities.
Sondra Connor
Sondra Connor is a marketing executive specializing in brand strategy, digital innovation, and AI-driven engagement. As Senior Director, Head of Corporate Brand & Marketing at Nuclearn, she positions the company as a leader in nuclear and energy, securing thought leadership opportunities and driving customer and investor engagement. Also an Adjunct Professor at Grand Canyon University, she mentors future marketers in digital strategy and branding. Recognized as a Top 50 Women Leader of Phoenix 2024, Sondra excels in storytelling, team building, and aligning marketing with business growth.
Stephanie Hanko
Stephanie recently retired as Senior Principal at CSG Government Solutions (2025), where she shaped enterprise project management, organizational change, and quality strategies. With 30+ years of experience, she has led PMOs and managed IT modernization projects ranging from $100K to $500M for government programs like Medicaid and Child Welfare. An expert in quality, risk management, and team revitalization, she is also Past Board Chair of PMI Phoenix. Stephanie holds a Master’s in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is a PMP and PMI Agile Hybrid Project Pro.
